A 35 old man from Pimville is due to appear at the Protea Magistrate Court on charges related to rape.
The suspect was arrested on Monday by Kliptown police following an incident which happened on Sunday this past weekend.
“It is alleged that a 20-year-old woman was walking to the Bonjour garage in Pimville when she was attacked. The man dragged her in to his room and raped her,” said police spokesperson captain Hitler Ngwenya.
Police have applauded residents who came forward with the information which assisted them in securing the arrest.
