Government stabilising post office situation

Employees urged to return to work.

The Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services reported that its minster, Siyabonga Cwele is working on stabilising the situation with the South African Post Office.

This follows the post office workers downing tools and taking on a four month strike for better wages.

Many offices as a result ended up closing  as other employees who were still working when the strike started were afraid for their lives.

They were intimidated by those on strike.

Cwele encouraged workers to go back to work while their issues were being dealt with through the proper labour channels.
