Eight suspects were arrested after they were found in possession of stolen copper cables.
Communications officer Mzwakhe Xazi estimated the value of the cables to around R150 000.
The men were arrested on March 30 in Bramfischerville Phase Two.
Dobsonville police arrested the suspects following a tip-off by a resident.
He said the suspects will appear in court soon.
