The Department of Housing’s 96/97 project is underway and more residents in Soweto will receive their houses, this is according to ward 25 councillor Vusi Shongwe.

Shongwe says field workers were assigned to identify residents that qualified for houses and soon houses will be allocated.

“Residents should expect to be called to a meeting where people will be given keys to their houses,” he said.

Shongwe said residents will be moved to different areas in Soweto.
