Pupils protest in support of abducted girls

Emelang Primary School pupils in support of Kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls.

Emelang Primary School protested against the abduction of Nigerian school girls last Friday.

Teacher, Morwaneng Tshongu said the school is touched by what has happened to the girls and their families.

Another teacher, Themba Zulu said they support Nigeria during this time.

The pupils stood with posters on one of the busiest roads in Meadowlands, Van Onselen Road.

An assistant teacher at the school, Phillip Kungoane said the protest was about creating awareness in the community.

“Communities also need to be involved,” he said.
