Road block due to protest
Motorists urged to use alternative routes to avoid protest.
According to the media contact person of the Department of Community Safety-Gauteng Traffic Police, Obed Sibasa, Union Road in Kliptown between Pimville Golf course and the Kliptown Flats has been closed since early morning.
“Motorists are urged to use Klipvalley Road from Chris Hani Road, if travelling from Eldorado Park, they may also use the N1/N12 or Golden Highway,” he said.
He said there is heavy police presence and motorists should avoid that area.
