A 21-year-old man was arrested for the murder of a 29-year-old man at Meadowlands Hostel last Sunday.
The police spokesperson, Sibusiso Chauke said the man allegedly went inside a tavern at the hostel wielding a panga as he ordered people inside to get out.
Chauke said: “The deceased was attacked with a panga while an accomplice to the 21-year-old allegedly shot him several times.
“He died on the scene.”
The panga carrying man was arrested just hours after the murder.
The police are still busy with further investigation and are looking for the other suspect.
