A man between the ages of 30 to 33 was arrested for allegedly shooting and wounding his girlfriend in Protea South, last Thursday.
Soweto communications officer warrant officer Kay Makhubela said the incident took place after the couple got into an argument.
“The woman was shot at her own house in Protea South in the early hours of Thursday morning.
“The victim is in a critical condition at the hospital fighting for her life,” he said.
Makhubela said the man will appear at the Protea Magistrate Court facing attempted murder charge.
