Tottenham Hotspur chairman, Daniel Levy [a well known British businessman] is, with fellow stakeholders, building a future home for the club. According to Inside World Football; “The cost of Tottenham Hotspur’s new North London stadium has ballooned to more than £1 billion, making it the most expensive football construction project in the UK.”
We’ve done a bit of research about the stadium and the following should cover or answer roughly a few questions you possibly had in mind.
The square metres of concrete to be poured 72 000, staircases to be fitted 729, concrete columns to support the infrastructure 1 101 and 12 000 tins of paint will be used.
According to the New Stadium website, the unique new stadium will provide a fresh standard for stadium experiences with world-class style suites, lounges, innovative dining to lively and vibrant concourses with food and drink to cater to all tastes.
The stadium is expected to house 62 062 with a 17 500 single tier home southern stand – generating a ‘wall of sound’, with the seating bowl arranged to place fans closer to the pitch than at any other comparable size arena in the United Kingdom.
