New muso’s give it their all
Prottech Productions launched their 2 new artists to the media in Newtown.
Asanda Skeyi and Sakhekile Buyana commonly known as Blak Suga performed at their first exclusive live recording session in Newtown at Capello’s.
The two upcoming artists, originally from the Eastern Cape, are under a relatively new recording label called Prottech Productions.
Skeyi can be described as Afro-soul artist whose inspiration stems from artists such as Busi Mhlongo and Letta Mbuli.
She performed her songs, from her new single, Silver & Gold, Ndizamela wena and Ndinentozonke.
“Her soothing sound falls under the dubbing into the popular house genre; her music speaks to the brutal truths that many people can identify with,” said artist manager Siyabulela Belu.
The hip-hop scene has another thing coming with Blak Suga hot on the tails of what is considered the heavyweights of the rap game.
Belu said, “Blak Suga’s push began in the days of Yfm’s Season Scoop.
He is no stranger to huge crowds as he has performed at Back to the City, Maftown Heights, and Pop bottles events.”
The artist had the crowd bopping their heads as he performed his single titled Ballerina, a creative display of the world around him.
Belo said that Black Suga’s creativity extends to producing his own beats as well as featuring on other well-known artists’ albums namely iFani’s Chocolate, Reason’s Don’t Matter and George Avakian of Beatbox Fame.
The two wowed the crowd with their stage presence and showed them that they are certainly worth a following for future projects.
“Our artists are hard-working, focused and are definitely a force to look out for in the industry,” said Belu.
Silver & Gold, as well as the Ballerina, are set to be made available to the public soon.
