A 12-year-old boy’s lifeless body was found hanging by a relative in his bedroom around 10 pm last night.
The boy allegedly hanged himself using his school tie.
“We appeal to parents to monitor their children’s behaviour and be alert of any changes they present,” said police spokesperson Constable Sibusiso Chauke who warned of a spike in suicide cases during this time of year.
Chauke advised parents and relatives to assist troubled children in seeking help from local social workers and counselors.
