'Failing matric could not stop me'

Shelembe not deterred by failing matric.

Though he failed matric, Musa Shelembe from Bramfischerville says that there is more to do with his life.

The 23-year-old failed mathematical literacy and life science.

“I did my best and I studied hard but I guess the outcome was not what I expected.

He said: “I understand that some commit suicide or plan to, but Grade 12 is not life’s dead-end.

Shelembe said after seeing his results he only thought of a way forward which was to register at a tertiary level.

He registered with SWGC Roodepoort campus to study as an electrician.

In March, he plans to rewrite the two exams he failed.
