Be safe this winter

Women warned not to walk alone at night.

Winter is around the corner, which means that the sun sets early.

The spokesperson for the Diepkloof Police Station Phephi Matlou-Mteto said that women should not stay late at taverns and/or parties.

“It is getting closer to winter and people will want to spend nights inside their houses. We urge women not to stay out too late and walk home alone; they should get someone to accompany them. If anyone attacks them if they are alone, no one will be able to help,” she said.

To report a crime, contact the local police station on 011 933 7400.
