Two people died and eight others were seriously injured when a minibus taxi overturned on the Soweto Highway on Monday morning.
A third passenger died on his way to hospital.
Christo Venter from ER24 said that the driver lost control and the minibus overturned numerous times.
“Most of the passengers from the taxi were ejected from the vehicle where EMS personnel found then thrown across the scene, injured and in obvious distress.
A number of other passengers sustained mild to moderate injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for further medical treatment,” he said.
