Spike in housebreakings raise concern

Residents urged to not only be vigilant, but also assist their neighbours.

After a number of housebreaking cases reported at the Kliptown Police Station, Kliptown police spokesperson, Nondumiso Mpantsha says this is becoming a huge concern.

“Residents need to be vigilant and be aware of what is going on in their surroundings.  The spirit of Ubuntu needs to be brought back into the Pimville community,” Mpantsha said.

She said residents need to call and work with the police to curb the spread of crime in the area.

She said residents need to verify the identity of people entering their property.
