Police arrested a 22-year-old man last Wednesday for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl in Orlando West.
Communications Officer Constable Sibusiso Chauke said that the mother of the child was informed by a witness about the incident.
“The mother later went to the scene where she found her daughter naked on a bed and not able to sit properly.
“She reported the matter at the police station and opened a case of rape,” said Chauke.
The suspect appeared in court on January 23 and the case was postponed to January 31.
Police are busy with further investigations.
