Elderly encouraged to vote
Elderly who are not fit to vote are encouraged to register as special voters.
In celebrating 20 years of democracy, ANC engaged the elderly who are not fit to travel to cast their votes at polling stations, to register as special voters.
Special voters will be assisted with transportation to voting stations and also those that are bed ridden can cast their votes at home, as long as the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) is aware of their state.
The session raised awareness on the importance of voting.
