'We won't pay for water'
SRC, VTP and political parties march to fight against water prepaid meters.
The Soweto Concerned Residents (SCR), Voices of The Poor (VTP) and various political parties came together to fight against prepaid water meters on Wednesday afternoon.
The SCR, VTP and the political parties marched to the Johannesburg Water site in Diepkloof to voice their demands.
The chairperson for VTP Joyce Mashinini said that they won’t pay for water.
“We did not ask for prepaid water meters therefore, we are not going to pay for it,” she said.
