Taxi drivers are urged to knock-off early at work to avoid car theft by thugs who pose as passengers during late hours.
Dobsonville police communications officer, Mzwakhe Xazi said a taxi driver was shot in Bramfischerville and his taxi taken away.
Xazi said taxi drivers must be on a lookout for people going in groups and should have with them police numbers.
“If they have police contacts, it will be easier to report ongoing crime or any element of suspicion,” he said.
